The Rapid Iteration on Design

We’re entering an era where AI coding is becoming the new default tool for making mock-ups and running tests. It’s accelerating both testing and building — but the quality of the output, and the judgment behind what to prioritize, is still very much the responsibility of the human expert orchestrating it.

Tools and Mindset for a Builder — a Design Engineer’s View

  1. Use whatever AI model you’re comfortable with. I connect it to my daily tools via MCP so it can plug into the apps I already use for project and product management (Jira, Asana, or whatever your team runs on).

  2. Keep it simple and direct. Set clear boundaries around your workflows and the functions you actually need. Most inefficiency comes from a lack of prioritization and commitment in the moments where things get hard — that’s where discipline matters more than tooling.
